Her family met with the team of Leucan on the first day of her chemotherapy. Massage therapy is part of the services provided by Leucan. Dania and her family received massages to relieve pain. Several nurses and physicians came in direct contact with Dania. They gave her injections and fluids and performed tests and examinations. All those people constantly touching her left Dania exhausted. At first, she was reluctant to get a massage, so she only received 15-minute massages to help her get used to it. Dania quickly realized how beneficial massages were. She could relax and forget about the pain in her leg for a little while. Her family also received massages. This gave them the opportunity to relax, recharge their batteries, and relieve some of the stress. Today, Dania has been in remission for three months.

Together, they talk about their experiences and feel less lonely. During a week of activities, parents climbed a mountain. Much like their journey with childhood cancer, it was a difficult hike but they succeeded in the end.
